BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A Baton Rouge teenager has been sentenced to 50 years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter and armed robbery charges in the 2011 shooting death of a 16-year-old boy.

The Advocate reports (https://bit.ly/QFIjom ) the suspect, who was 15-years-old at the time of the Nov. 11, 2011 slaying of Daylon Wheeler, entered the plea Tuesday and was sentenced shortly thereafter.

East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s officials have said Wheeler and the suspect had been in an ongoing dispute that led to the shooting.
