CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia is honoring and remembering fallen law enforcement officers with a candlelight vigil.

Officials say the West Virginia Law Enforcement Memorial is scheduled for Tuesday night at the State Capitol.

The ceremony is being held in conjunction with National Police Week. This is the first effort in West Virginia to honor fallen officers being held during National Police Week.

According to the Officer Down Memorial Page, more than 200 law enforcement officers from West Virginia have been killed in the line of duty.
