TROY, N.Y. (AP) - Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is boasting about two of its graduates in space.

RPI notes that as Rick Mastracchio returns to Earth from the International Space Station, another graduate is preparing to go to the station later this month.

Reid Wiseman will travel to the International Space Station on May 28 with fellow astronauts from the European Space Agency and the Russian Federal Space Agency.

Wiseman graduated from Rensselaer in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in computer and systems engineering.

Mastracchio, who spent six months on the space station, graduated from in 1987 with a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Rensselaer Hartford Campus.
