WHEATON, Ill. (AP) - A suburban Chicago man accused of viewing child pornography on a library computer has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

The DuPage County state’s attorney office says a judge sentenced 59-year-old Scott Baudin of Bloomingdale for one count of possession of child pornography. Baudin entered a blind plea earlier this year.

A Tuesday statement from prosecutors included comment from DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin. He says the crime is all the more “appalling” because, in Berlin’s words, Baudin “chose to feed his revolting desires at a public library.”

Last year, Bloomingdale Public Library staff called police after seeing Baudin view the images. Later, investigators found that Baudin had more than 270 computer disks containing child pornography. He has jailed in lieu of $500,000 bail since his 2013 arrest.
