LADUE, Mo. (AP) - A tree trimmer is accused of stealing nearly $80,000 worth of watches along with other jewelry from a client’s home in the tony St. Louis suburb of Ladue.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1sVtXyL ) reports that 35-year-old Dennis Koenig of O’Fallon, Missouri, is charged with stealing and burglary. He does not have a listed attorney and is not yet in custody.
Ladue resident Robert Lococo says Koenig worked for him for several years, trimming trees once or twice a year. This winter, Lococo noticed he was missing 13 valuable watches and several other pieces of jewelry.
Police checked with second-hand gold dealers for recent sales, leading them to Koenig.
