WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - Prosecutors say two people were wounded when a shotgun discharged inside a unit at a southern New Jersey apartment complex.
The shooting occurred early Saturday at the Birches Apartments in Washington Township.
Gloucester County prosecutors tell The South Jersey Times (https://bit.ly/1j840Jh) that the two people shot were a 28-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman who lived in the apartment.
Prosecutors say the shotgun apparently discharged after the man entered the bathroom with the weapon and the woman tried to intervene.
The man suffered injuries to his lower face, while the woman suffered wounds to her wrist. Both were being treated at a hospital, but further details on their conditions were not disclosed.
