LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas Travelers have earned one of their most unusual victories of the season in an 11-9 win over the Springfield Cardinals.

Adam Melker was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded Friday night to force in the winning run. Zach Borenstein led the club with three RBIs on a bases-loaded triple, while Melker finished 2-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

Melker, Borenstein and three teammates each collected two hits apiece leading a 12-hit attack to help the Travs back to a .500 record at 20-20.

David Carpenter kept the Cardinals at bay for 2.1 innings allowing just one base hit, although he hit two batters, and added three strikeouts.

Cam Bedrosian slammed the door with two strikeouts in a perfect ninth inning for his fifth save.
