CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Time is running out to register to vote in Nevada’s primary election.

Anyone who isn’t already registered to vote has through Tuesday to do so either in person or online.

The primary election is June 10. Early voting begins Saturday.

Gov. Brian Sandoval faces four primary opponents but is expected to easily win the primary and general election in November.

Most interesting is the Republican primary for lieutenant governor between state Sen. Mark Hutchison and former state Sen. Sue Lowden. The winner of that contest will likely face Lucy Flores, a Democratic assemblywoman in November.

The lieutenant governor’s race is important should Sandoval decide to run for national office in 2016 and win. The lieutenant governor would then move up to the governor’s office.
