SPARKS, Nev. (AP) - A 22-year-old Sparks man has been killed in an early morning accident that shut down an intersection near Reed High School.
Sparks police say the man appeared to be traveling at a high rate of speed in a 2004 Honda sedan when he struck a tree in the median on Baring Boulevard east of Springland about 12:45 a.m. Tuesday.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
