LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The Nebraska State Patrol will be stepping up efforts this summer in an effort to reduce the number of fatal crashes on state roads.

This is the seventh year the patrol’s “100 Days of Summer” initiative will run from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. Each day, the patrol will conduct at least one traffic safety enforcement operation in the state, such as checking for seat belt use and impaired drivers.

Interested motorists can visit the Nebraska State Patrol website at www.statepatrol.nebraska.gov and click on the NSP enforcement activities link to see a list of the daily traffic enforcement efforts.

By viewing the calendar, motorists can access information on the type of enforcement planned and the location of the enforcement.
