CHICAGO (AP) - Authorities say a suburban Chicago man has died two weeks after police used a stun gun on him.

The Cook County medical examiner says 23-year-old Dominique Franklin of Sauk Village died Tuesday afternoon. Police used a stun gun on him during a retail theft arrest on May 7 at a Chicago drug store. The Chicago Sun-Times reports (https://bit.ly/1m55BzU ) that Franklin fell to the ground and suffered a head injury afterward.

Franklin had been charged with resisting an officer and retail theft.
