PROVO, Utah (AP) - Police in Provo are investigating the suspicious death of a 60-year-old woman whose body was found inside her home.
Provo Police Lt. Matthew Siufana says detectives have not opened a homicide investigation. But he says it’s clear the woman did not die of natural causes.
Police responded to a call about 4 p.m. Wednesday after the woman’s son reported that he had found her body in her house at 1675 W. 50 North.
Detectives confirmed there were obvious signs of trauma to her body but have released no other details.
Siufana says the son is cooperating with investigators and is not considered a suspect. The woman lived alone. Her body was taken to the medical examiner’s office where the results of an autopsy are pending.
