NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Police say two North Charleston men were out for revenge against each other after a New Year’s Day fight when they shot each other’s mother.
Police Chief Eddie Driggers on Thursday announced charges against 25-year-old Jimmie Harris and 22-year-old Montreal Ford.
Harris is charged with murder, attempted murder and possession of a gun during a violent crime.
Ford is charged with murder and possession of a gun during a violent crime.
Both men were already in jail on other charges.
Police say Harris’ stepmother, 52-year-old Janet Royal, was killed in the shooting. Ford’s mother, 41-year-old Sabrina Green, was wounded.
A third woman died in the shootings, though police did not explain why 49-year-old Debra Randall Martin was killed.
It was not clear if the men have attorneys.
