LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas Highway Police seized more than 200 pounds of marijuana during a routine inspection of a truck on eastbound Interstate 40.
The agency said 217 pounds of marijuana were seized at 3:30 a.m. Friday from a tractor-trailer driven by 46-year-old Xiao Jun “Calvin” Duan of Arcadia, California.
Officials say the marijuana was stored in seven boxes that were found inside the truck’s sleeper cab.
Highway Police searched the vehicle at an inspection station on I-40 in Alma. Duan was arrested and taken to the Crawford County Jail. He has a pending court appearance. It’s unclear whether he has a lawyer.
