KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) - Kansas City, Kansas police say a man died after a brief struggle with officers.

Officers who stopped McKinnis‘ car Thursday evening for a traffic violation determined he was wanted on a criminal warrant.

The man resisted arrest and tried to flee, police said in a statement. After a brief struggle, officers realized the man needed medical attention and called for emergency responders and tried to help the man.
