RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - The attorney of one of two brothers accused of raping a girl more than 10 years ago says a plea deal has been reached.

David Klynsma, 28, was scheduled to enter his plea to an undisclosed charge on Friday. Pennington County Deputy State’s Attorney Scott Roetzel says the paperwork was not complete. The Rapid City Journal (https://bit.ly/1nfIOCE) reports Klynsma’s plea is scheduled now for June 6.

Klynsma was charged with three counts of first-degree rape of a child under 10 in January. The Spearfish man is accused of assaulting the victim between 2002 and 2003.

First-degree rape carries a maximum penalty of life in prison and a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years.

Klynsma’s brother, Blake, is also charged with one count each of first- and third-degree rape.
