WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - The Delaware State Police is investigating after a man with a knife robbed a convenience store in Wilmington, leaving with a carton of cigarettes.

State police say it happened Saturday around 11 p.m. at the Wawa convenience store at 727 Philadelphia Pike. Troopers say a male suspect approached the sales counter, displayed a knife and demanded a carton of cigarettes. The employee gave the man the cigarettes and the suspect fled on foot. The employee was not injured.

State police say the suspect is described as a black male between 40 and 45 years old. He was last seen wearing a blue polo shirt, jeans and a dark baseball hat.
