GARFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Rescuers are continuing to search for a woman who disappeared while swimming in a western Michigan lake.

The Grand Rapids Press and WOOD-TV report that the Newaygo County sheriff’s office dive team returned to Kimball Lake on Monday to resume the search begun Sunday afternoon after the woman disappeared.

Witnesses say she had been on a pontoon boat with a group. The woman was not believed to be wearing a life jacket at the time she disappeared.

The lake is in Garfield Township near Newaygo, which is about 30 miles northwest of Grand Rapids.
