LAKEWOOD, Calif. (AP) - Los Angeles County authorities have arrested a woman for allegedly killing her mother with a hammer and knife at a Lakewood apartment.
The Sheriff’s Department says 32-year-old Angie Diamond is being held Thursday on $1 million bail.
Homicide investigators say her 57-year-old mother, Margaret Rion, was found dead Tuesday with trauma to the upper torso.
A Sheriff’s Department statement says Diamond was taken into custody after telling detectives she attacked and killed her mother after a verbal dispute.
