TROTWOOD, Ohio (AP) - Police say a large fight at a southwest Ohio high school led to a brief lockdown and the arrest of 23 students.

The Dayton Daily News (https://bit.ly/SXFTDn ) reports that the fight Thursday morning at Trotwood-Madison High School near Dayton ended with all 23 students involved facing misdemeanor disorderly conduct charges.

Police and the school system said in a statement that the fight started over accusations about students possessing items stolen from other students. It was broken up within minutes, and one minor injury was reported.

In addition to the criminal charges, all the students were suspended for violating the district’s student code of conduct. They also may face expulsion.
