ATLANTA (AP) - University System of Georgia officials have chosen three finalists for the open president position at Georgia Highlands College.

In a statement on Friday, officials said the president will be named at a future Board of Regents meeting. Georgia Highlands College serves about 5,700 students at six locations.

The finalists recommended by a selection committee are:

- Anita Bowles, vice president for academic affairs at Spartanburg Methodist College in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

- Donald Green, vice president for extended and international operations at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan.

- Al Panu, senior vice president for university affairs at the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega.

Former Georgia Highlands College President Randy Pierce retired in December 2011. Two interim presidents have served since that time.
