BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. (AP) - Two people are expected to face charges in the wounding of a Detroit-area lawyer.

Bloomfield Hills police Chief David Hendrickson says arrests were made over the weekend in connection with the attack on David Zacks at his home.

Hendrickson says he expects a 28-year-old woman and 20-year-old man to be charged later Monday.

Police had said a suspect approached Zacks’ home late Wednesday, identified himself as a police officer and asked to enter the home. When the 57-year-old attorney refused to let him in and threatened to call the police, the suspect fired several shots through the front door.

According to The Detroit News, Hendrickson now says “it appears it was a botched robbery.”

The Oakland Press reports Bloomfield Hills police will seek warrants against additional suspects later this week.
