Boy finds body in woods near Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - A 12-year-old boy told police he found a decomposing body in the woods near a gas station.

The Florida Times Union (https://bit.ly/1sbnAqF ) reports the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office doesn’t suspect foul play because the body was found in an area known to be frequented by transients.

Police say the boy was heading to a gas station on Sunday afternoon to return a movie.

The homicide unit is investigating the possible cause of death and the identity.
