WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say a man wanted in connection with four bank robberies was on his way to rob another bank when he was arrested.

Troopers investigating four bank robberies in Wilmington say they identified 35-year-old Michael D. James of Newport as a suspect. Officers say detectives began surveillance of James and saw him about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday walking through the parking lot of Wells Fargo Bank on Naamans Road.

James was arrested, and police say troopers recovered items that indicated he was about to commit another bank robbery.

James has been charged with several counts of robbery.
