ST. STEPHEN, S.C. (AP) - One of six people charged in the 2011 shooting death of a man in Dorchester County has pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and attempted murder.

The Post and Courier of Charleston reported (https://bit.ly/1uu9Yc6) that Sheldon Goodman of Eutawville was sentenced Monday to 23 years in prison.

Goodman was originally charged with murder in the 2011 shooting death of 21-year-old Brittany Aigoro of St. Stephen.

Investigators said Aigoro was shot during what authorities said at the time was a robbery attempt. A man in the house was wounded.

Charges are pending for the other five co-defendants.
