BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - Bridgeport police say they did not recover a body during their search of a garage on Monday night.

Police Lt. Chris Lamaine says officers and officials from the state medical examiner’s spent Monday night at the rear of a home on Noble Avenue after developing a new lead in a missing persons case dating back to September, 2013.

Police arrived at the home at about 6:30 p.m. and left at midnight.

Lamaine says the case remains active.
