CAMBY, Ind. (AP) - Central Indiana police say a teenage boy who died after being struck by a car as he was skateboarding was wearing dark clothing at the time of the nighttime accident.

Lt. Jim Yetter with the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department says 15-year-old Dylan Cox was pronounced dead Saturday night in the town of Camby.

The Indianapolis Star reports (https://indy.st/1huooQt ) police investigators say Cox was wearing dark clothing when he was hit by a car while skateboarding in the roadway of a residential area.

Yetter says the driver stopped after the crash and no charges were filed.

He says excessive speed, drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors in that accident.
