DOVER, N.H. (AP) - A New Hampshire mother has been accused of endangering the welfare of her two young daughters after police said she overdosed on various drugs, including heroin.

Police in Dover said the children, both under age 11, found their mother semi-conscious last month and went to a neighbor for help. The mother was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police arrested 30-year-old Moira Byrnes on Saturday. They said her children were unattended for several hours and that provisions are in place to keep them safe.

Byrnes was released on $5,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned June 16. It wasn’t immediately known if she had a lawyer.
