MARION, Ill. (AP) - A southern Illinois woman accused of fatally stabbing another woman has been found mentally unfit to stand trial.

Williamson County State’s Attorney’s Office spokesman Jimmy Dean says a judge ruled on Tamara Williams‘ mental fitness during a court appearance Monday.

The Johnston City woman is charged with four first-degree murder counts in the November death of 66-year-old Barbara Beers. One of those counts alleges the killing involved an aggravated vehicular hijacking.

Williams later was arrested in Lavergne, Tenn.

She has been remanded to the custody of the Illinois Department of Human Services, pending another court appearance June 23.
