DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Police are investigating a shooting at an apartment building in Des Moines that injured a woman.
The Des Moines Police Communications Center received a report shortly after midnight Wednesday about a shooting north of the city’s downtown area. Authorities found 19-year-old Ameisha Heard with a gunshot wound to the head.
Heard was taken to a nearby hospital, where she is listed in critical condition.
