SEATTLE (AP) - Seattle police say witnesses who saw three teens mug a 64-year-old disabled woman and run away laughing jumped into action and chased the robbers, catching and holding one teen until officers arrived.

Police say the woman was walking Tuesday afternoon in the city’s Rainier Valley neighborhood after picking up a prescription at a store. Three young men approached from behind, grabbed her purse, her walker and the prescription bag and shoved her. The woman was able to remain standing. The teens ran off.

Officers say three witnesses who ran after the teens caught up to a 16-year-old.

Police found some of the woman’s property and returned it to her. They’re trying to identify the other teens involved. The 16-year-old was booked into juvenile detention for investigation of robbery.
