WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) - A convicted sex offender from Southborough has been sentenced to up to 7 ½ years in prison after pleading guilty to child pornography charges.

Daniel Goichman was also sentenced Tuesday to 10 years of probation after pleading guilty in Worcester Superior Court to possessing and disseminating child pornography.

Prosecutors say the 51-year-old Goichman was a registered sex offender in Massachusetts because he was convicted in 2002 in New Hampshire of having sex with a 15-year-old girl he met online.

The Telegram & Gazette (https://bit.ly/1kLiPPX ) reports that police say Goichman had dozens of images and videos of children having sex on his computer and on two email accounts

His lawyer recommended a lighter sentence because his client poses a “low to moderate risk” of re-offending.
