INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The Indianapolis Colts started Thursday without a first-round draft pick - and finished it without one, too.

General manager Ryan Grigson stayed out of the busy draft day trade market and opted to hold onto all five of his selections over the next two days.

Grigson sent Indy’s first-round pick to Cleveland in September to acquire running back Trent Richardson, the No. 3 overall pick in 2012.

Indy is expected to make its first draft pick Friday at No. 59, late in the second round. The Colts also have a third-round pick Friday at No. 90 overall. The Colts will make three picks Saturday - the final day of the draft. The Colts are looking to fill voids at safety and center and could be looking for another receiver, too.

Meanwhile, Colts owner Jim Irsay returned to Twitter on Thursday night after staying silent since his March arrest and a stint in a rehabilitation facility.

“Just wanna thank ColtsNation for all the love n support! Humbling!” Irsay tweeted. “Really missed you guys! Your kindness will never be forgotten! Doing everything I can to make 2014-15 season special for all of us!”

Irsay was stopped March 16 and an arrest report said police found $29,000 in cash and bottles of prescription drugs in his car. He was preliminarily charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and four felony counts of possession of a controlled substance near his home in suburban Indianapolis.

Two days later, the team said Irsay entered a health care facility to seek treatment. He hadn’t posted on Twitter since then until Thursday.

Earlier this week, the Colts said Irsay will make a personal pitch to his fellow owners later this month to try and help Indianapolis land the 2018 Super Bowl.
