B. Smith, model-restaurateur, reported missing in N.Y.

SAG HARBOR, N.Y. (AP) — Police on New York’s Long Island say former model and restaurateur B. Smith has been reported missing.

Police in the village of Sag Harbor, where Smith lives, confirmed Friday that they have an “open missing person investigation.” They declined to provide details.

CBS New York said Smith, who’s 65, was last seen around 11 p.m. Thursday in Southampton.

Smith revealed earlier this year that she has Alzheimer’s disease.

Among her many restaurants, she used to have one at Union Station in Washington, D.C., until it closed.
