Brittney Griner, star player with the WNBA, was attacked and cut by a knife-wielding man while boarding a bus in China, her agent said.

Lindsay Kagawa Colas said her client Ms. Griner suffered a small cut, but she didn’t have to go to the hospital for treatment, CBS News reported. Ms. Colas also said Ms. Griner — who stands 6-foot, 8-inches tall — was wearing a winter coat and the knife barely penetrated.

Ms. Colas said the man, who approached the team as they were leaving practice and getting on their bus, also stabbed another team member — but she was wearing two jackets and the knife didn’t get throughout the cloth, CBS News said.

The man initially approached the team and yelled. After he attacked, he fled the scene but returned, covered in blood, Ms. Colas said, CBS News reported.

Authorities apprehended him, but it’s not clear what happened to him, CBS News said.
