Montgomery County police are looking for a Wheaton boy who has been missing since Friday.

Rashad Williams, 12, was reported missing buy his family after he was last seen at his home in the 3300 block of Hewitt Avenue in Wheaton, a police spokeswoman said Wednesday.

The boy is described as a black male, 4-feet-8-inches tall, weighing 100 pounds, with brown eyes and medium-length brown hair worn in twists.

Police said Rashad often can be seen in the Aspen Hill/Layhill area in Wheaton, as well as the Westfield Wheaton Mall and downtown Silver Spring.

Officials are asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to call the Montgomery County Police Special Victims Investigative Division at 240/773-5300, or the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.
