ATHENS, Greece (AP) - Olympiakos clinched its 42nd Greek league title - and 17th in the last 19 seasons - with three rounds to spare Sunday.

Olympiakos had secured the title even before beating Levadiakos 4-0, when Panathinaikos lost 2-1 at Panthrakikos earlier. Had Panathinaikos won, the defending champion would have needed at least a draw to clinch the title.

Panathinaikos even slipped to third behind PAOK, which beat host Kerkyra 1-0 Saturday. PAOK is 13 points behind Olympiakos and one ahead of Panathinaikos.

In a festive atmosphere in Piraeus’ Karaiskakis Stadium, Levadiakos had the better start, but lost goalkeeper Michalis Sifakis in the 25th minute to a red card for a handball outside his area. Alejandro Dominguez scored twice, in the 44th and 60th minutes while Jorge Benitez and Costas Fortounis added a goal apiece.
