WARWICK, R.I. (AP) - Warwick police are looking for leads as they investigate a deadly hit-and-run that killed an East Providence man as he was crossing the street.

Police say several vehicles may have struck 70-year-old Joseph Phillips after the initial crash shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday. They say Phillips had just left work at Enterprise rentals and was crossing the street to his car when he was hit.

Police are looking for the public’s help locating three vehicles that were in the area at the time of the crash. They say they want to speak with the drivers.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
