ATHENS, Ala. (AP) - Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a house fire that claimed the life of a 38-year-old woman in northern Alabama.

The News Courier reports (https://bit.ly/2hQfftR ) that the blaze happened Monday in Athens.

Authorities say the house was fully engulfed by fire when fire crews arrived.



While battling the blaze, the woman’s body was found inside the residence.

Her name wasn’t immediately released. Limestone County Coroner Mike West tells the Athens newspaper that her body was being sent to a forensics lab for positive identification.
