BELLEVILLE, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a man has been wounded in a police shooting in New Jersey.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office says the shooting happened Wednesday evening in Belleville.
No officers were injured.
Authorities say the wounded man was taken to a hospital in Newark, where he’s listed in serious condition. The prosecutor’s office has not released his name.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unclear.
No other information was immediately available.
The investigation is ongoing.
