PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police say one man is dead and another wounded following a shooting in which up to 30 rounds reportedly were fired.
Sgt. Mercedes Fortune says officers responding to a shooting Tuesday night found 46-year-old Roberto Carillo-Gonzales dead at the scene and then located a wounded 36-year-old man at a nearby hospital.
According to Fortune, police found the wounded man at the hospital by using a helicopter to locate a vehicle seen leaving the shooting scene at high speed.
Fortune says the wounded man is expected to survive his injuries but isn’t cooperating with officers and police don’t have descriptions of any suspects.
Fortune says witnesses told police that between 20 and 30 shots were fired during the shooting.
The shooting occurred near North 19th Avenue and West Osborn Road.
