DETROIT (AP) - Police say the shooting death of a 16-year-old Detroit boy while his older brother was home is being investigated as possibly accidental.
Police say the boy was with his 18-year-old brother about 1:45 a.m. Wednesday at the home on the city’s east side when a gun held by one of them discharged, wounding the boy.
Police say the 16-year-old was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name wasn’t immediately released. Police say his brother was interviewed by police and was cooperating. Circumstances of the shooting are under investigation.
