SPARKS, Nev. (AP) - Police have arrested four suspects in an armed robbery at a big sporting goods store in Sparks.

Police say three male teenagers allegedly were taking merchandise and walked past the cashiers without paying at about 5 p.m. Monday at the Scheels in the Legends shopping center.

Police say store security tried to stop the suspects, but one pulled out a handgun and started making threats before running off to a waiting vehicle.

Detectives said Wednesday that one of the suspects arrested was a 13-year-old juvenile. The others, all from Nixon, were identified as 18-year-old Norbert Lenoir, 18-year-old Skylar Thackston and 36-year-old Cheri Scott.

All four were booked for suspicion of robbery with a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Scott also was booked for suspicion of child neglect.
