CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) - Police say a suspect has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting last month in Chandler.
They say 21-year-old Chris Anthony Vega was taken into custody Saturday night in Phoenix and booked into jail on suspicion of one count of first-degree murder.
It was unclear Sunday if Vega has an attorney yet.
Police say he is accused in the Dec. 21 shooting of 20-year-old Dominique Vega.
They say the two men aren’t related, but are both Chandler residents.
Police say the victim was shot after some sort of verbal altercation with occupants of a car.
The driver of the vehicle then allegedly shot Dominique Vega several more times.
Police say the victim was found on a street near Arizona Avenue and Ivanhoe Place and pronounced dead at the scene.
