EDMONDS, Wash. (AP) - An Edmonds man has been arrested in connection with the suspicious death of his roommate.

The Everett Daily Herald reports (https://bit.ly/2hvaDZf ) that the man was booked into the Everett jail late Wednesday for investigation of second-degree murder.

The 45-year-old female roommate was reported dead Monday.

Police Sgt. Josh McClure says the man was home at the time and cooperated with police.

McClure says an autopsy was performed and detectives were told Wednesday that trauma the woman suffered was inconsistent with a natural or accidental death.

Detectives returned to the home and took the man into custody.
