POPLARVILLE, Miss. (AP) - A Pearl River County jury has cleared a Poplarville man whose uncle accused him of embezzling nearly $270,000 from his construction company.

The Picayune Item (https://bit.ly2hahoyC ) reports that the jury acquitted Paul Bradley Holloway this month on three counts of embezzlement.

He says, “You have to have faith in the legal system and it worked.”

Lawrence Holliday had accused his nephew of embezzling $268,965 while working for Holliday Construction, LLC from 2006 to 2009.

Court documents show that jurors found Paul Holliday not guilty on all counts.

Paul Holliday said the charges arose from disputes over a profit-sharing deal with Lawrence Holliday’s son, Scott Holliday.
