BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) - Bond is $50,000 each for two women suspected of running a meth lab.

KTVM-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2i3kczP) Jessica Jackson and Brittany Scarborough both face a felony charge.

A man told the Missouri River Drug Task Force that he recognized a smell coming from the women’s residence as that of methamphetamine manufacturing. He also said he saw evidence in their yard.

Sudafed was also recently stolen from a gas station where Jackson once worked. An employee said she noticed an odor at the women’s home and antifreeze on the porch.

Defense attorneys argued charging documents did not link the theft to either woman and there was no probable cause for the women’s arrests.

Items needed to make methamphetamine were found in the home.

Defense attorneys say those are simply household items.
