MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Republican Gov.-Elect Phil Scott is announcing several appointments to his cabinet and senior staff.

He said Tuesday that Susanne Young, a deputy attorney general, will serve as secretary of the Agency of Administration. Al Gobeille (Go-BAY), who now serves as chair of a board responsible for containing health care costs and improving the state’s health care system, will become secretary of the Agency of Human Services.

Scott says both Young and Gobeille are accomplished and highly respected leaders who share his focus on making Vermont’s economy stronger and the state more affordable for businesses and families.

Scott also announced that Rebecca Kelley will serve on his staff as director of communications; John Quinn will be chief innovation officer and Tayt Brooks will serve as director of affordability and economic initiatives.
