I think most Americans believe that our three branches of government have lately failed to live up to their responsibilities to the people of this country.

The executive branch, led by the president, has failed in its duties to provide the necessary security that contributes to a stable economy and the general welfare of the citizenry. The legislative branch, under the leadership of both parties during the current administration, has failed to act in the best interest of the American public, choosing instead to act on behalf of its own interests of re-election, and in the interests of special-interest groups. The judicial branch and jurists across the country have frequently given in to the secular desires of the nation at large to override the will of the people. The most egregious recent example was the decision of the Supreme Court to support the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act, using a specious argument over whether the cost of health care was a tax or a fee.

What this country continues to cry out for is someone who will stand up for the freedom and liberty of its citizens. That is why I am calling for a “Freedom and Liberty” movement that will begin to rightfully restore the freedoms and liberties that have been usurped by the three branches of government.

This is not a Democratic or Republican issue, nor is it a conservative or liberal issue. America should never equivocate on something as serious as this. If we do, we must be prepared to forever live under the rule of self-interested and self-promoting politicians. This is not the America I have served, nor is it what I want for my children and grandchildren.
