An NFL player and his posse reportedly injured two off-duty Philadelphia cops during a fight over a bottle of champagne at a Philadelphia nightclub this weekend.

Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy and former NFL running back Curtis Brinkley were among the four men accused of beating the officers inside the nightclub Recess early Sunday, reported CSNPhilly.com.

A statement issued by the Philadelphia Police Department confirms the incident and indicates that one of the off-duty officers sustained a broken nose and several broken ribs while the other was being treated for a possible skull fracture as a result of the fight.

The fight started about 2:45 a.m. Sunday as an argument about who owned a bottle of champagne and quickly escalated to a shoving match, according to police. One of the police officers was knocked to the ground, and the four men involved in the attack “punched, kicked and stomped about his body and head multiple times,” the police statement said.

Police said the four men have all been identified but the names of the suspects were not released. It was unclear if all four men would face charges from the incident.
